All leagues will be based on participants’ age on May 6.

Registration Dates: February 1 – April 12: All softball leagues

Minis & Intermediate Leagues: April 15 -17 by 5 p.m. (this includes a $10 late fee)

Minor Softball Leagues:  April 15 - 22 at noon (includes a $10 late fee)

(Ages 6-8 on May 6)

This pitching machineleague continues to grow as girls experience competition and team play. Fundamentals are the focus of this entry-level program. Girls will learn the basics of softball while having a good time with friends. The girls take pitches from the pitching machine and everyone gets plenty of opportunities to hit the ball and run the bases. All Mini’s players will play on a team of the school they are currently attending. To keep team numbers low and individual playing time maximized, the Recreation Manager can modify teams at their discretion. Jerseys and visors will be provided.

Coaches Meeting: Monday, April 22, 6:30–7 p.m. at SRD Office

Practice Starts: Week of May 6 (please note that not all teams will practice on the first scheduled days; these dates are subject to weather)

Intermediate League Info

(Ages 9-11 on May 6)

For this league, we are focusing on teaching the girls new fundamentals. However, we will still focus on learning skills, gaining experience, understanding the game and creating a fun and competitive environment. Again, this is an entry-level fast-pitch league and they will begin to learn how to pitch with the help of their coaches. All Intermediate players will play on a team of the school they are currently attending. To keep team numbers low and individual playing time maximized, the Recreation Manager can modify teams at their discretion. SRD will provide jerseys and visors to participants.

(Ages 12-14 on May 6)

All junior high girls are encouraged to join a fun and competitive fast-pitch softball league. If you want something enjoyable to do this summer, get your friends together and sign up to play in the fast-pitch league. USA Softball Rules regulate the games. A DRAFT will form teams and players must attend the SHOWCASE on April 29 at 5:30 p.m. at Redle Field. To keep team numbers low and individual playing time maximized, the Recreation Manager can modify teams at their discretion. SRD will provide jerseys and visors for all participants.

Coaches Meeting: Tuesday April 23, 5:30-6 p.m. in SRD Office Player Showcase:

Monday, April 29, 5:30 p.m. at Redle Field behind the SRD office.
